The Alpha is Live

The time is here.

After a year of building together, alpha.subvert.fm is live. Our collectively-owned Bandcamp successor is now accessible to members — starting with those who joined on day one.

Who Has Access Right Now

If you joined Subvert on October 17, 2024 (the first day our plan went live) you now have access to the platform. We call you Day One members, and you're members #1-832.

If that's you: you can log in with your member email and access the platform at https://alpha.subvert.fm/

We're Starting Small

We're testing with Day Ones first to ensure the platform is stable before all 14,000+ members access it at once. We need to make sure nothing breaks when everyone arrives.

When Other Members Get Access

If you're a member but not in the Day One group: Your turn is coming very soon.

Timeline: Days, not weeks. We're moving as quickly as we can while making sure everything works. You'll receive an email with your login credentials as soon as we're ready to expand.

What You Can Do on the Platform

Once you have access, here's what you can do:

• Explore artist pages and listen to music
• Purchase digital downloads
• Create collections
• Test features
• Provide feedback

For Artist-Members: Page Creation Coming Soon

If you're an Artist-Member, you won't be able to create your own artist page just yet. That's coming later this month when all artist members will be able to create pages and upload releases.

Right now, we're testing with a select group of handpicked artist pages. When artist page creation opens, you'll receive another email with instructions.

What We Need From You

Whether you have access now or are getting it soon, here's what we need:

Use the platform. Break things. Tell us what works and what doesn't.

This is alpha. Some features aren't fully finished. Things will continue to change as we implement updates based on your feedback. Our team is small, but we're moving fast.

Timeline

Phase 1: Members First (Now) — Day One members testing, expanding to all founding members soon

Phase 2: All Artists Create Pages (Later this month) — All artist members can create pages and upload releases, platform still member-only

Phase 3: Public Launch (December) — Platform opens to everyone
