When Can I Create My Artist Page?

The Short Answer

Artist page creation opens soon. We'll email all Artist-Members when it's ready.

Why Not Now?

We're taking a phased approach to opening the platform. Right now, we're focused on making sure the core experience (listening to music and purchasing releases) works well before we open artist page creation to all 15,000+ members.

This is intentional. Our team is small, and being strategic about how we scale is critical. We're building this collectively, which means inviting members in as early as possible to test and provide feedback. But it also means we need to move carefully to ensure everyone has a good experience.

What We're Working On Before Opening Artist Pages

Before we can open artist page creation to everyone, we have a few more things to complete:

Upload Experience
We're making iterative improvements to how artists upload releases, ensuring the process is intuitive and reliable.

Metadata
We're improving how metadata is structured, collected, and written onto digital download files. This affects everything from search and discovery to the quality of files supporters download.

Support Structures
We're strengthening our internal support systems so we can help everyone effectively when thousands of artists start uploading at once.

Payment Processing
We're conducting more testing on payment processing onboarding to ensure artists can receive payouts smoothly and reliably.

Our Phased Approach

Phase 1: Members First (Now)
All founding members can access the platform to explore, listen, purchase, and test. We're working with a select group of handpicked artist pages.

Phase 2: All Artists Create Pages (Coming Soon)
All artist-members will be able to create their own pages and upload releases. Platform remains member-only.

Phase 3: Public Launch
Platform opens to everyone.

As a cooperative, we want to get the platform in your hands as early as possible. Your feedback shapes what we build. But we also need to ensure that when thousands of artists start creating pages and uploading music, the experience is solid.
